Bilda Santizo and passenger from San Bernardino killed in multi-vehicle crash

Two people were killed, and another was injured after a multi-vehicle car accident on the 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles Sunday night, according to a KTLA news article.

The driver killed in the accident that occurred at about 11:26 p.m. on Sunday night was later identified by coroners as 37-year-old Bilda Santizo, a Los Angeles resident.

Additionally, a Latino man in his 60s was identified as the passenger also killed in the fatal collision.  The San Bernardino resident’s name was withheld from the report, pending the notification of his family.

The incident occurred when two occupants inside a Scion SUV stopped in traffic due to the vehicle being disabled, reported officials.  Another vehicle collided into the Scion.

Moreover, it was unknown whether hazard lights were on or not before the collision.  Shortly after the initial crash, three more cars reportedly collided with the car wreck.

Officials reported one other person involved in the crash complained of pain, however officials state they are expected to be okay.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
