At least one person was injured in a car accident on the connector of the 8 Freeway and Interstate 15 in San Diego

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Friday, February 16th 2018, at about 8:33 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic accident that occurred on the connector of the Mission Valley Freeway and the Escondido Freeway in the city of San Diego.

Additionally, officials report that both the vehicles involved in the accident were traveling westbound on Interstate 8 before getting on the connector to the 15 Freeway north, where the accident took place.

Furthermore, a white Chrysler Town and Country and a Ford Explorer were the vehicles involved in the traffic collision that resulted in injuries, said CHP.  As cited by officials, at least one person was transported to a local hospital, however the condition of the injured party is unknown at the time.

Currently, this car crash is undergoing review by authorities as they work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the accident, and further details will be available at a later time once the investigation has come to an end.
