At least one person injured in car accident on the 5 Freeway north of 43rd Ave in Sacramento

As mentioned in a police report by California Highway Patrol, on Monday, March 5th 2018, at 7:41 p.m. at least one person injured as a result of a traffic collision that took place on Interstate 5, just north of 43rd Avenue in the city of Sacramento.

Moreover, authorities reported that a Nissan Murano, a black sedan and another vehicle not described were traveling southbound on I-5 when the accident occurred.  The accident caused major front-end damage on the Nissan Murano, according to officials.

Additionally, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics.  Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured victim at this time.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
