At least 1 person injured in vehicle collision on the transition road from the 580 Freeway to Interstate 80

A police report by California Highway Patrol stated that on Wednesday, April 4th 2018, a traffic accident that involved several vehicles on the transition road from Interstate 580 to the 80 Freeway left at least one person injured.

Moreover, at about 6:14 p.m. the three vehicles involved in the accident were merging from I-580 west to I-80 east when the collision occurred, according to officials.  Authorities reported that a green Subaru, a grey Chevy, and a silver Toyota were the vehicle involved in the car accident that resulted in injuries.

Additionally, at least one person was injured, however the severity of the injuries sustained by the victim are unknown.  Officials have not released the age or name of the injured victim yet.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
