At least one person injured in vehicle collision on Highway 24 near Caldecott Ln in Oakland

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Friday, March 16th 2018, at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic collision that took place on State Route 24 near Caldecott Lane in the city of Oakland.

Moreover, authorities did not give a full description of the vehicles, but did mention that 3 vehicles were traveling westbound on SR-24 before colliding with each other.  One of the vehicles was speeding at about 80 MPH prior to the collision and ended up hitting a tree in a ditch, as stated by officials.

Additionally, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a near by hospital by paramedics.  Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured victim at this time.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
