Woman killed and four injured in a DUI car crash on Roscoe Boulevard and Irondale Avenue
The Los Angeles Police responded to a crash at 2:09 a.m. Thursday in the area of Roscoe Boulevard and Irondale Avenue.
A Dodge Challenger, driven by Jose Miguel, 28, of Northridge, was traveling eastbound on Roscoe when it sideswiped a Subaru Impreza that was traveling eastbound, says the Los Angeles Police Department. The driver and the only occupant of the Ford, identified as Rosario Chavez, 42, of Northridge, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officer Tony Im.
The sole occupant of Subaru, a 27-year-old Northridge man, sustained minor injuries from the incident.
Jose Miguel suffered heavy injuries and remain hospitalized. Authorities report Jose was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Two male passengers of the Dodge were hospitalized in serious and critical condition.
This collision remains under investigation and further details will be updated as they are available.
