58-year-old killed while riding Vespa motor scooter in car crash

According to MyNewsLa, there was a motorist who died in a deadly scooter crash on the 405 Freeway in Inglewood last Friday early morning.

As mentioned by the article, the accident occurred on Friday at 1:46 a.m. near Florence Avenue on the San Diego Freeway.

The 58-year-old motorist was identified as Robert Keitzman.  Keitzman was riding a 2006 Vespa L200 motor scooter when he suddenly lost control and landed in the roadway, said CHP officers.

Keitzman, the Lomita resident, died at the scene after being run over by two unknown vehicles, along with a 2000 Honda Accord LX.  The driver of the Honda was the only one that remained at the scene after the accident.  The 41-year-old Honda driver was cooperating with authorities and gave information regarding the collision.

No further details were immediately available.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
