Two dead in three-car chain collision on 22 Freeway Near Beach Boulevard

Pedestrian Raul Vazquez Jr. and driver Charlotte Nugent were killed as the result of a fatal car accident on the 22 Freeway at Beach Blvd in Garden Grove, according to a recent article from MyNewsLA.

Raul Vazquez Jr, was a 50-year-old Santa Ana resident who was pronounced dead at the scene by Orange County coroners who responded to the accident as well as other first responders.  He was struck and killed when he got out of his disabled car on the 22 Freeway approaching Beach Bouelvard and got hit by a passing by driver.

Charlotte Nugent was a 68-year-old resident of Seal Beach who died at UCI Medical Center in Orange at about 9:37 a.m. after crashing her vehicle into the disabled car.

There was a third vehicle also involved, although it was not mentioned who drove that one.  Two others were also injured in the car accident and paramedics transported them to a local hospital.

Currently, the traffic collision is being investigated by the authorities, and further information will be relayed at a later time.
