Pedestrian struck by hit-and-run driver identified as 60-year-old Redondo Beach Man

According to a local news articles, there was a recent fatal hit-and-run car crash that took place on Sunday, November 26 in which a Redondo Beach resident named Mario Alvarado was killed.

The accident took place at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Sunday evening in the 13400 block of Lakewood Boulevard, reportedly.

Police stated that officers arrived at the scene of the hit-and-run car accident and discovered the victim on the ground in the middle of the road, although the driver and his vehicle were nowhere to be seen.

Paramedics arrived shortly after and pronounced Alvarado dead at the scene.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation by the authorities and additional information will be reported at a later date once the hit-and-run driver involved has been found.
