Pedestrian killed after being hit by truck in Fountain Valley

According to a news article, a male pedestrian died in a car accident on Warner Avenue near Euclid Street in Fountain Valley on Tuesday morning.

A pedestrian died shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday on Warner Avenue near Euclid, said the article, when he was struck in a car accident by a 1988 Mitsubishi truck.

Officers responded to the incident and interviewed the driver of the truck, who remained at the scene after the collision after also suffering minor injuries.  He was transported by paramedics to a hospital afterwards.

The pedestrian’s identity was withheld from the news release, pending the notification of family.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
