One vehicle overturned and another torn in half in fatal Fontana collision

According to a local news article, on Thursday night, a two-vehicle car accident took place at Arrow Route and Cherry Avenue in Fontana, leaving at least one person dead and multiple victims hospitalized as a result.

As mentioned in the news report, the accident occurred at about 8:42 p.m. on Thursday night.

San Bernardino County Fire Department officials responded to the accident scene, where they located at least four victims injured.  Paramedics transported four victims to local hospitals, although the report did not indicate how many people were injured in the car accident.

Additionally, one vehicle was described to be “torn” in half and another overturned on its side.  There were children reportedly in the overturned vehicle.

The name of the deceased was withheld from the report pending the notification of next-of-kin.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
