Four to five vehicles involved in a deadly car crash on 210 Freeway

One female driver was reported dead after a multiple-vehicle car accident took place on the 210 Freeway near Day Creek Boulevard in Rancho Cucamonga, according to an article from the Daily Bulletin.

The crash took place just before 11:00 a.m. on Monday between multiple vehicles in the westbound lanes of the 210 Freeway in between Day Creek Boulevard and Etiwanda Avenue, said CHP.

One person, a female victim, was killed as a result of the crash between four or five vehicles.  It was unclear from the article what the vehicles were or the identity of the female who died.

Additionally, the crash caused a backup on the transition roads from the 15 Freeway after the lanes were blocked for rescue crews to arrive.

A SigAlert was issued at about 11:15, and there was no estimate for how long it would be in effect.

California Highway Patrol officers have stated at the time that they did not have details into how the crash took place, and there was no information regarding the cause in the article.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
