One woman killed after a car and a truck collide on Carmenita Road south of Imperial Highway

According to onscene.tv, one woman was killed on Friday afternoon after her car crashed into a truck on Carmenita Road south of Imperial Highway in Whittier.

Authorities arrived on the scene and found a solo female victim under the tractor-trailer of a big rig, crushed. When they pulled her out of her Chevy Malibu, the victim was in full traumatic arrest.

The Santa Fe Fire Department Paramedics was on the scene and transported the victim to Norwalk Community Hospital but she could not overcome her injuries. The female victim was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to officials.

The name of the victim was not mentioned in the article, pending the notification of next-of-kin.

It is unclear if alcohol, drugs or speeding were involved in the factor of the collision but the authorities have not ruled them out.

This collision remains under investigation by the Whittier PD Santa Fe Springs office along with the Traffic Bureau  and further details will be updated as they are available.
