Vehicle collision injured motorcyclist on the 680 Freeway south of Interstate 780 in Benicia

A police report by California Highway Patrol stated that on Monday, April 2nd 2018, a traffic accident that took place on Interstate 680, just south of the 780 Freeway in the city of Benicia left a motorcyclist injured.

Moreover, at about 5:45 p.m. a motorcyclist and a Honda Pilot were traveling northbound on I-680 at high speeds when the collision occurred, according to CHP.  Authorities reported that the rider was found down on the roadway when officials arrived.

Additionally, the rider was transported to a nearby hospital, however the severity of the injuries sustained by the victim are unknown.  Officials have not released the age or name of the injured victim yet.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
