Motorcycle-Involved Traffic Collision on Intestate 80 and Pinole Valley Road Off-Ramp in Pinole Injures At Least One Person

Traffic Collision involves a motorcycle in Pinole

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Wednesday, May 2nd 2018, at about 5:25 p.m., at least one person was injured ensuing a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on the eastbound of Intestate 80 and Pinole Valley Road off-ramp in the city of Pinole.

In addition, the report stated that a Chevrolet Volt and a motorcycle were the vehicles involved in the traffic collision. 

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by CHP.

Furthermore, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Additionally, authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.

Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
