Pedestrian struck and killed after crash in East Central Fresno near Olive and Chestnut

According to an article from ABC 30, a man succumbed to his major injuries after being struck in a hit-and-run crash on Olive and Chestnut Avenues in East Central Fresno on Tuesday evening.

Per the article, the pedestrian accident occurred just before 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Sources say that a small pick-up truck, either silver or gold, struck the man, slowed down before driving away from the scene of the crime.

Emergency personnel as well as the Fresno police responded to the scene and transported the injured pedestrian to a local hospital, where he shortly died afterwards due to his injuries.

The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of kin.

Currently, the hit-and-run pedestrian accident is still under investigation and authorities are searching for the unidentified hit-and-run driver who killed the pedestrian.  Details will be released at a later time.
