Hit-and-run driver fled scene after crash

According to a recent article, San Diego Police discovered an injured pedestrian at the scene of a hit-and-run car accident on Saturday evening.

As mentioned in the article, the accident took place at about 8:00 p.m. in the 10800 block of Camino Ruiz near New Salem Street.

The male pedestrian was found laying in the roadway by himself after authorities responded to the collision on New Salem Street.

Officials were able to determine that the man was struck by a black sedan or coupe-like car by collecting information from witnesses.

Furthermore, the vehicle was spotted by witnesses to be driving around the injured pedestrian before fleeing southbound at a high rate of speed, said the news.

The identity of the victim was not released, but it is known that he suffered major injuries and had to be treated at the hospital.

Currently, this crash remains under the investigation by the San Diego Police Traffic Division, and further information will be reported once the investigation is over.
