Eastbound Highway 101 closed down following crash for pending investigation

According to a report from Onscene.TV, there was a car crash that occurred early Friday morning in which a Prius crashed into a semi-truck causing a four-vehicle crash in Tarzana.

As mentioned in the article, the accident occurred at about 2:06 a.m. last Friday morning on the 101 Freeway near Tampa Avenue in Tarzana.

Sources said that a Prius crashed into the rear-end of a semi-truck before losing control and hitting a Jeep Cherokee as well as a Sprinter Van.

One victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries, although it is unclear how many people were actually injured in the four-vehicle accident.

Authorities reported that the Highway 101 was closed down in the eastbound lanes of traffic immediately afterwards for an hour.

Currently, the crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol and further information will be reported later.  It is unknown what was the main cause of the accident at this time.
