 A child is paralyzed after car runs over three children on Fruitvale Avenue in Oakland

According to kxan.com, three children were injured on Wednesday evening when they were run over by a car while walking through a crosswalk on Fruitvale Avenue and Brookdale Avenue in Oakland.

Article stated that at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, three children were walking through the crosswalk on Fruitvale Avenue and Brookdale Avenue when a car slammed into them.

Authorities report that one of the child was stuck under the car when the car ran over them. Fortunately, no one died from the collision.

As mentioned in the article, Jonathan Calmo, 5-year-old, was left paralyzed from waist down after the incident. The other two victims have come out of the hospital but are in need of a back surgery and a knee surgery.
