At least one person injured in a hit-and-run on Interstate 405 near Valley Vista Blvd in Los Angeles

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Monday, March 5th 2018, at bout 6:27 a.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a hit-and-run collision that took place on the 405 Freeway, just south of Valley Vista Boulevard in the city of Los Angeles.

Moreover, authorities report that the injured party was traveling in a grey Ford Ranger before getting hit by a Mercedes-Benz, that fled the scene.  The driver of the Ranger managed to move the vehicle over to the right shoulder of the 405 Freeway, but when authorities arrived the Mercedes-Benz that caused the accident was no where to be found, as mentioned by CHP.

In addition, at least one person was injured and transported to a near by hospital, however officials have no word on the condition of the injured party.

Currently, this incident is undergoing review by authorities as they work to find the person responsible for the hit-and-run, and further details will be available at a later time once the investigation has been concluded.
