Pedestrian woman is mowed down in Leimert Park by hit-and-run driver

According to a local news article, Gloria Eaton Breaux was killed after being struck in a pedestrian-car accident involving a hit-and-run driver on Crenshaw Boulevard and Coliseum Place in Leimert Park on Christmas night.

As mentioned by the article, the accident occurred at about 9:00 p.m. at the crosswalk at Crenshaw Boulevard and Coliseum Place.

She was identified as 49-year-old Gloria Eaton Breaux, said police.  She unfortunately died at the scene.

Additionally, her 14-year-old son was with her at the time, although police stated he was not injured.

Furthermore, the authorities stated that the suspected vehicle was described as a black, 1990s-model four-door SUV, “possibly a Nissan Murano.”

No further information was available from the article.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
