Three teenagers killed and two were injured following a single-vehicle crash on CA-119 in Bakersfield

According to a news report from Bakersfieldnow, on Tuesday, April 17th 2018, at about 10:45 p.m., three teenager were killed and two were injured ensuing a single-vehicle crash on Taft Highway just west of Buena Vista Road in the city of Bakersfield.

Moreover, the report stated that five teenagers were occupying a white Ford Explorer that overturned and landed on its right side. Additionally, officials are unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. 

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicle involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.

In addition, 17-year-old Fernanda Medina Olivas, 19-year-old Alejandro Arguello and 19-year-old Jazmin Lizbeth Ojeda Rosales were killed, as identified by the coroner.

Furthermore, 17-year-old Cindy Olivas Ramirez and 19-year-old Osvaldo Urias were transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics and is suffering with major injuries, according to officials.
