Driver of SUV pronounced dead at scene of crash

An SUV driver was killed last Friday in a fatal collision with a big rig truck on Old Adobe Road between Frates and Casa Grande Roads in Petaluma, according to an article from the Press Democrat.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:48 p.m. when a white Chevrolet Trailblazer traveling in the southbound lanes struck an empty grain truck, according to officials.

The driver of the SUV was traveling alone and was not identified in the reports.  Authorities pronounced the victim dead at the scene of the crash.

Additionally, officials stated that the SUV must have been traveling fast to create such an impact with a slow moving truck.

Currently, the traffic collision is being investigated by the authorities, and further information will be relayed at a later time.
