Murrieta resident is killed after high speed vehicle collision
According to a recent article, a 52-year-old Murrieta woman was identified as Donna Montes. She was killed in an accident on Thursday after being struck by a speeding vehicle in Murrieta.
As mentioned in the article, the accident occurred at about 8:40 a.m. in the morning last Thursday.
Sources indicated that the accident occurred at the intersection of Hancock Avenue and Ridgewood Road in Murrieta when Donna Montes was stopped at the red light.
The woman was suddenly struck in the rear end by a white SUV, which pushed Montes’ vehicle onto the sidewalk. Simultaneously, sources said, the white SUV rolled over onto its passenger side in the roadway.
According to the report, emergency rescue crews had to use the ‘jaws of life’ in order to extricate the trapped Montes out of her vehicle, taking nearly 15 minutes.
Furthermore, the driver of the SUV also sustained injury and required extrication from their SUV.
Paramedics transported the critically injured woman to Inland Valley Medical Center where she was then taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center immediately after. Sources said that she was declared dead at 4:33 p.m.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities continue to work to determine the cause and liability of the collision.
