At Least One Person Injured in Big Rig Truck Accident on Interstate 780 near Glen Cove Road in Vallejo

Big rig leaked 170 gallons of fuel following a traffic collision in Vallejo

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Friday, April 20th 2018, at about 11:13 p.m., at least one person was injured ensuing a traffic collision involving a commercial vehicle on the westbound of Interstate 780 near Glen Cove Road in the city of Vallejo.

In addition, the report stated that a four door sedan and a big rig were the vehicles involved in the traffic collision. Moreover, 170 gallons of fuel was leaking from the big rig, according to authorities.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by officials.

Furthermore, there was at least one person injured as a result of the crash and paramedics arrived shortly after the incident occurred to transport the injured parties to a nearby medical facility. Additionally, the identity of the injured person or persons has not been released yet, according to officials. It is also unknown whether or not there were passengers in the vehicles involved in the crash.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
