Semi-truck crash on Highway 1 near Solomon Road in Santa Maria injures at least one person

According to a local news article, on Thursday morning, April 19th, 2018, around 10:00 am, a vehicle collision occurred on Highway 1 near Solomon Road in Santa Maria injuring at least one person.

As mentioned, the vehicles involved in the collision were identified as a box truck and a semi-trailer, stated the report.

In addition, the box truck was flipped on its side when the authorities arrived, mentioned the article.

Also, emergency personnel arrived on the scene to treat the injured victims from the collision, stated the authorities.

It is unknown at this time if alcohol and or drugs were a factor in this incident.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.

In addition, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by medical personnel. Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
