Car accident left at least 1 person injured on Highway 37 near Atherton Ave in Novato

As mentioned in a police report by California Highway Patrol, on Saturday, March 31st 2018, at about 11:38 a.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic collision that took place on State Route 37, at the Atherton Avenue off-ramp in the city of Novato.

Furthermore, authorities mentioned that a black Volkswagen was traveling eastbound on SR-37 when the accident occurred.  One person was found on laying on the ground next to the vehicle and it appeared as if a dog in the vehicle got ejected, according to officials.

In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a near by hospital by paramedics.  Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured victim.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
