Car accident injures at least one person on the I-405 on-ramp near El Segundo Blvd in Hawthorne

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Tuesday, May 1st 2018, at 5:42 p.m. at least one person was injured ensuing a solo car accident that took place on the northbound Interstate 405 on-ramp from eastbound El Segundo Boulevard in the city of Hawthorne.

Moreover, authorities stated that the vehicle involved in the accident was a black Toyota Camry. The Toyota Camry was reported to be overturned in the slow lane as well as having an inoperable tire, as stated by officials.

Furthermore, the slow lane of traffic was blocked off as authorities worked to clear the accident scene and wait for towing services to arrive to clear the accident scene.

In addition, it is unclear how many people got injured, however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics for medical assistance.  Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
