Paramedic treated at least one injured person after a Motorcycle-involved collision in Sunol

An ambulance was dispatched to the scene of a traffic collision involving a white and blue motorcycle and a brown Mazda RX7 on the northbound Interstate 680 near Calaveras Road at approximately 5:27 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4th 2018, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.

Furthermore, authorities reported that the Mazda RX7 was driving in the center divider while the motorcycle was lane splitting on the right hand shoulder. Moreover, the vehicle changed lanes and hit the motorcycle causing fire on the right hand shoulder.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by CHP.

In addition, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by medical personnel.  Moreover, authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
