Authorities respond to four car collision in Sunnyvale

Multiple traffic lanes were blocked after a four car collision occurred on U.S. 237 near the Mathilda Avenue off-ramp in Sunnyvale at approximately 6:13 PM on Wednesday, according to a California Highway Patrol.

According to the report, a white Mini Cooper, white Hyundai Elantra, grey Lexus sedan, and beige Chevy Tahoe were involved in the accident. Additionally, airbags were deployed in three of the vehicles involved. Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked until authorities were able to clear the scene of the crash, according to officials.

At least one person was injured in the accident, according to sources. The injured persons received medical attention at the scene and were later transported to a hospital.

The identity of the persons involved in the accident is currently not known. In addition, it is also unknown if the vehicles involved in the crash had other passengers at the time of the collision.

The investigation into this car crash is still ongoing. Further details will be released as it becomes available to the public.
