Traffic lanes blocked after multiple car collision in Modesto

A big rig involved collision blocked multiple lanes of traffic on the Golden State Highway near 5th Street in Modesto at approximately 3:40 PM on Monday, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.

The big rig reportedly was involved in a collision with a white Jeep Cherokee and a blue Ford F150. According to sources, multiple lanes of traffic were blocked until tow trucks were able to clear the scene.

Ambulances treated at least one injured person at the scene, according to sources. The injured persons were later transported to a hospital.

The identity of the involved persons is currently not released. It is also unknown whether the vehicles involved in the accident had other passengers at the time of the collision.

The investigation into this accident is still ongoing. Further details will be released as it becomes available to the public.
