Investigators currently looking for hit-and-run driver after fatal pedestrian accident

A driver fled the scene of a car crash after striking and killing a pedestrian 85-year-old woman on Tuesday night at the intersection of Holt Boulevard and Virginia Avenue in Ontario, CA, according to a local news article.

As mentioned, the accident occurred at about 7:52 p.m. at the intersection of Holt Boulevard and Virginia Avenue.

An 85-year-old woman was crossing Holt Street when she was suddenly struck by a vehicle, said authorities.

Paramedics arrived and were able to transport the injured victim to a local hospital, where she later died.  Her identity was withheld from the report, pending the notification of next-of-kin.

Additionally, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
