Los Banos traffic collision sends 5 to hospital

According to Los Banos Enterprise, a 29 year old woman driving a 2009 Toyota on Ortigalita Road collided with a 19 year old woman in a 2005 Saturn on the intersection of Pioneer Road, sending multiple victims to the hospital with major injuries.

According to Sgt.Ryan Swafford of the Los Banos Police, the accident occurred at approximately 6:11 p.m. when a 19-year-old driver of a Saturn approached the intersection at a unknown rate of speed and made a left turn, resulting in a collision with a 2009 Toyota on the opposite side of the road.

Subsequently, the 19-year-old woman driving the Saturn was ejected from her seat due to not wearing a seat belt, according to Los Banos Enterprise.

The driver of the Saturn was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center due to major injuries caused by not wearing a seat belt, and the driver of Toyota was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, reported officials.

Additionally, 3 passengers of the Toyota, a 23 year old woman and two boys under 10, were transported to Los Banos Memorial Hospital.

The identities of the victims involved in crash was not mentioned in the article, pending notification of family.
