Victim struck and injured by hit-and-run driver on Ocean Boulevard

A 33-year-old pedestrian was critically injured after being involved in a hit-and-run collision that took place on Ocean Boulevard near 37th Street, according to a recent news article.

The accident occurred when a 33-year-old pedestrian was struck while crossing Ocean Boulevard a few feet outside of an unmarked crosswalk.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the driver struck the pedestrian and immediately drove off.  The injured man was reportedly laying on the ground when authorities arrived at the scene.

Additionally, the article reports that the victim sustained severe head trauma from the collision, and was found in life-threatening condition.

The victim’s name was not mentioned in the report, pending the notification of next-of-kin.

Moreover, authorities stated that the hit-and-run suspect’s vehicle was a black sedan that struck the victim on the right front side of the vehicle.

Currently, there is no description of the suspect, and authorities continue their investigation to locate the hit-and-run suspect in this pedestrian collision.
