DUI accident left 2-year-old boy dead on Highway 20 near Harmony Ridge Rd in Nevada City

As mentioned by an article by CBS Sacramento, on Monday night, March 12th 2018, a 2-year-old boy was killed as a result of a DUI crash that took place on Highway 20, near Harmony Ridge Road in Nevada City.

Furthermore, authorities report that Albert J. Silva is suspected of being under the influence when he lost control of the vehicle with a 2-year-old boy inside the vehicle.  The vehicle rolled over several times and ejected the young boy from the vehicle, as stated in the article.

In addition, the young boy was later declared dead at the Sierra Nevada Memorial hospital and Silva was taken to another hospital and was later arrested and is now facing several felony charges.  Authorities have not released the name of the boy or the relationship between Silva and the young boy.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
