California Pedestrian Accidents

Each year, thousands of Californians will be involved in pedestrian accidents throughout our state. Unfortunately, a large majority of pedestrian accidents result in injuries for the victims. Pedestrians stand little chance when they are struck by a car, especially when the crash occurs at higher speeds. For this reason, many pedestrian accidents involve serious injuries and even death.

Police must carefully investigate pedestrian crashes in order to determine who is responsible. Factors such as whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk, whether the driver was distracted or otherwise negligent, and whether reasonable measures could have been taken to avoid the crash will all be considered. Ultimately, negligent drivers remain responsible for the consequences of their actions.
