Firefighters and EMTs arrived at the scene where two back seat passengers in the Atlas, now identified as 91-year-old Francisca Solis, of Anaheim, and 70-year-old Trinidad Solis, of Selma, were transported to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange. Both individuals succumbed to their injuries a short time later.

Rivera suffered significant injuries and was transported to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo.

Intoxication is a suspected factor in the cause of the crash which remains under investigation.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the families of both deceased victims at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of their full recovery.

Fatal Car Accidents in California

A recognizable increase in DUI-related deaths was reported in 2016, according to a recent Office Traffic Safety report. Due to the remiss nature and absolute reckless actions of intoxicated drivers, it is not shocking that numerous California car accidents involving a DUI driver often end with compete devastation. During such a challenging and wretched time, it is crucial for all victims and their bereaved loved ones to know their rights moving forward.
