Woman Dies Of Injuries After Highway 154 Crash Involving Donkey

According to Santa Barbara Noozhawk, a woman is critically injured after a rollover crash in Los Olivos, California. Reports state the collision occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Highway 154 at Foxen Canyon Road. A man in an alleged stolen vehicle was traveling westbound when the Jeep struck a donkey that was in the road. A woman also driving westbound, just moments later, she swerved to avoid the mangled Jeep and the animal, causing her to lose control and overturn her truck. CHP say the woman was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected and suffered a number of fractures to her skull.

CHP said the man involved was not injured, but a following investigation determined that the Jeep had been reported stolen. He was arrested on charges of possessing a stolen vehicle.

In the days following the collision, the driver, Katrina Sue Cummings, 53, succumbed to her injuries.

The wrongful death lawyers at The May Firm send their deepest condolences to the Cummings family for their tragic loss.
