Whittier, CA (December 17, 2019) – On Monday morning, December 16th, a man was struck and killed by a car while crossing the street on a tricycle in Whittier. The fatal collision was reported at around 6:00 a.m. along Whittier Boulevard.
The victim, who has now been identified as 61-year-old Danny Martin, of Whittier, was crossing the road in the 16500 block of Whittier Boulevard, near Jordan Road when he was hit by a westbound 2004 BMW. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after the collision and Martin was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the BMW was reported to have stopped their vehicle and fully cooperated with authorities. The events that led to this incident remain under investigation.
