Santa Ana, CA (February 28, 2020) – On Friday morning, February 28th, three vehicles collided in Santa Ana, resulting in police and paramedics at the scene. The collision was reported in the vicinity of 17th Street at around 8:05 a.m.
According to officials with the California Highway Patrol, a white Volkswagen Passat, a gray Toyota MR2, and a white Chevrolet Suburban collided in the southbound lanes of the freeway. Emergency crews responded to the scene where one person was trapped in their vehicle and needed to be extricated.
All victims were taken from the wreck and transported to nearby hospitals. At this time, officials have not provided any updates on the number of victims or their current conditions. The cause of this accident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with the victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
According to official studies, injuries caused by traffic accidents were shown to be directly liable for the deaths of more than 3,500 people all across California during the year 2018. A wide range of many factors such as speeding, intoxication, and distracted driving persistently trigger such terribly serious collisions. Such factors also only increase the possibility that a car accident in California will ultimately find devastating results.
