San Pedro, CA (January 3, 2020) – Several people were injured following a major two-vehicle crash that occurred in San Pedro on Wednesday, January 1st. The collision took place in the vicinity of 1504 South Grand Ave. near Interstate-10.
According to officials with the Los Angeles Fire Department, two vehicles collided along the roadway, causing one of the vehicles to catch fire. Paramedics accompanied firefighters at the scene where six people suffered various injuries.
Three people were transported to a nearby hospital where one of them was listed in serious condition and the other two were treated for non-life threatening injuries. The other three injured parties sustained only minor wounds in the crash.
The events that led to this collision are under investigation.
