San Diego, CA – 48-Year-Old Man Hurt in Mission Gorge Road Bicycle Crash

San Diego, CA (August 24, 2019) – A man suffered critical injuries in a bicycle crash in San Diego.  The collision took place on Friday, August 23rd on Mission Gorge Road.

Authorities were called to the scene in the Grantville neighborhood around 8:00 pm.  Initial reports indicate that a 48-year-old man was riding a GT e-bike and attempting to cross Mission Gorge from west to east.  As the man crossed the road he was hit by a Subaru traveling southbound.  The e-bike rolled over upon contact with the Subaru.

The biker, who has not been identified, was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.  The Subaru driver was not injured in the crash.  Police are still gathering details on the crash and there is no word at this time on whether any charges are expected.
