Playa Del Rey, CA (February 13, 2020) – Officials with the Los Angeles Police Department stated that a woman, identified as 48-year-old Patricia Anne O’Donnell was struck and killed by a motor vehicle in Playa Del Rey. The fatal accident happened at around 1:16 a.m. on Thursday, February 13th, at the intersection of Pershing Drive and Manchester Avenue.
According to authorities, O’Donnell had just exited a local business with a friend when she struck by a black Audi 5 that immediately fled the area afterward. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
Police later located the Audi 5 and its driver, 45-year-old Patrick Finkelstein, of Santa Monica. He was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
