Pasadena, CA (November 15, 2019) – A suspected DUI driver fled the scene of a collision that left a teenage bicyclist critically injured on Wednesday night, November 13th. The hit-and-run was reported at around 11:45 p.m. on Marengo Avenue in Pasadena.
According to police, the driver of an unspecified vehicle struck the bicyclist near Villa Street and immediately left the area. Emergency crews arrived at the location of the collision and immediately transported the severely injured teen to a local hospital. The victim is listed in critical condition.
Sometime later, police located the driver of the vehicle, now identified as 35-year-old Yiting Kang, of Fontana. She has since been arrested for DUI resulting in serious injury, as well as a hit-and-run.
