Paramount, CA (November 26, 2019) – On Monday evening, November 25th, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy was struck by a fleeing suspect in the Paramount neighborhood of Los Angeles. The incident happened sometime around 9:30 p.m. at or near the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Jackson Street.
The victim, identified only as a Lakewood Station deputy, was struck by a suspect who was attempting to flee the area in an unspecified vehicle. The deputy was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
Police apprehended the suspect but no further information was reported.
