We would like to offer our condolences to the family of the victim at this time.
The state of California was reported to have the 15th highest rate of fatal pedestrian accidents between the months of January and June of 2017. An estimated 352 people lost their lives in a collision with a motor vehicle during that time, according to reports. Victims are often completely unprotected at the time of impact, which leaves them at a higher risk of suffering fatal injuries in any California pedestrian accident.
When a loved one is struck by a vehicle, family members are often left with pain and suffering on top of the burden of tremendously high costs, as well. While it can be understandably difficult, it is important for loved ones to realize that they may have significant rights in the event that the victim was not at fault for the accident.
