Newport Beach, CA (March 3, 2020) – Early on Tuesday morning, March 3rd, police were dispatched to the scene of a fatal car crash that took place in Newport Beach. The accident was reported at around 1:00 a.m. on Balboa Boulevard.
According to police, a 29-year-old male driver of an unspecified vehicle was possibly speeding with a female passenger and crashed. Emergency crews arrived at the scene where they pronounced the driver deceased. The female passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The current condition of the injured passenger has not been reported. The official cause of the crash is under investigation.
