Murrieta, CA – Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries on I-215 Fwy

Murrieta, CA (October 28, 2019) – At least one person lost their life following a multi-vehicle collision Monday morning, October 28th. The fatal accident happened in the southbound lanes of the Interstate 215 Freeway at around 5:54 a.m.

According to the California Highway Patrol, up to four vehicles were involved in the crash including a Riverside Transit Agency bus and a pickup truck. One of the vehicles involved was reported to have overturned and landed on its roof before catching fire.

Paramedics who accompanied police and firefighters at the scene pronounced one person deceased at the scene. One other victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital to be treated for major injuries. No further information was reported.

Police are currently investigating the cause of this crash.
