Moorpark Motorcycle Crash on Highway 118

There are thousands of motorcycle crashes each year in California. When a motorcyclist is involved in a collision, they are several times more likely to be hurt or killed in the crash compared to those riding in a car or other larger vehicle. Motorcyclists should always take basic safety precautions, including wearing helmets, driving defensively and keeping a lookout for others on the roadway.

In many cases, however, the crash may be simply unavoidable. Negligent drivers are everywhere on our roadway and their actions can cause a catastrophic crash to occur in a matter of seconds. Police will continue to investigate this crash in order to determine the cause.
