Mira Mesa, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Crash at Black Mountain Road

Mira Mesa, CA (December 15, 2019) – A female pedestrian was killed in a crash that took place in Mira Mesa on Saturday, December 14th. The crash happened in the 10800 block of Black Mountain Road near the intersection with Mira Mesa Boulevard.

The San Diego Police Department responded to the scene around 2:50 p.m. According to police, a 68-year-old woman was walking on a sidewalk near a Bank of America and attempted to cross the road. She was subsequently struck by a 2006 Ford F250.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the accident scene. The driver of the truck attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by authorities. An investigation into the crash remains ongoing at this time.
